Japanese Black Pine – Pinus Thunbergii

Japanese Black Pine are one of the most recognized pine trees for bonsai. Sending several flushes of growth per year, thick rough bark, and adaptability to our climate make this a perfect choice for a bonsai specimen. They can also be grown in the ground but grow slower and don’t reach heights of 40 to 50 feet like they do in other climates.
